Oddly enough, I have a nice thing to say about winter in MN. The sky here in winter is breathtaking. It is so clear (I imagine because no water vapor has a chance of surviving in the frigid temps) on a sunny day you can see for miles. I was in a small plane once about fifty miles north of the city, and you could see downtown perfectly. The sunsets can be amazing in winter. Amber streaks of cirrus clouds dipped in purple and burning reds. It's too bad it tends to be too cold to stay out and enjoy them.
