A friend went out of town for a few days, and he left his dogs with us while he is gone. Now, normally this in not such a big deal. Normally, Tamara is the dog ring leader, and I will yell occasionally from the other room to tell the damn dogs to stop barking. Tam, however, is out of town, and through a complicated and sophisticated system of rules, not too different to the system defined by our government if the president dies, I have become the keeper of tres perros.
You think that they would know better. You think the thought of it would make them cringe. They must be desperate. There was a point in my life where I was a camp counselor, and people actually left their children alone with me. But, they barely knew me. I am closely acquainted with these people, and they still left the life and health of these three dogs in my care. It is a good thing that the dogs will get picked up tonight, 'cause I am on the verge of setting them free, and the four of us will roam wild throughout the city. I only hope I have the moxie to be alpha male. The young one keeps staring me down, and I'm afraid he might break me.
