Many of you may be asking, "What does Mark do with all his free time now that he no longer has access to Television?" The obvious answer would be that he spends that much more time staring into his monitor.

In result of this extra CRT time, I have added yet another enhancement? Here is the list of exciting things that have happened here at "The Pill"

  1. Updated CoWA to allow access to dynamic data via a simple interface:
      <Element name="filmlinks">
        <Default>
          <Data>org.bitterpill.bitterfilm.FilmData</Data>
        </Default>
      </Element>

  2. Cleaned up the spell checker.
  3. Added database pooling for greater access speed for the ones of users here.
  4. Implemented a model 2 framework using struts (very cool...)
  5. Combined these new features to allow the ability to comment on, and rate the movies listed to your left (the other left Tam).

Tam and I went to see a movie tonight at The Parkway. I think a good time was had by all. One small thing though: I find it strange that people feel the need to clap at the end of a film that they enjoyed. Why are they clapping to an inanimate screen? Do these people clap at movies at home as well? Do they clap at features shown on airplanes? Do they applaud at any inanimate object that pleases them? It make no sense to me. If you go see a live performance that you find enjoyable, by all means applaud. If your toaster pops up a finely toasted pop-tart, try and refrain from applauding, and maybe smile inwardly to yourself.

Favorite title for a movie from The Independent: Lawn Honky.

Hacking out some Perl today at work...It's like slipping under an old blanket...well, an old blanket covered with dust mites, and maybe some dog urine. Most Java developers I work with would spit at the thought of writing in perl, but I've always kind of liked it. Snooty bastards! Gotta mix it up a bit. You can't eat poptarts everyday now can you? You can't! I've tried...

Tim is Deaf, so Hear Me Month:
    Q: Can you read?
    A: The staggering stupidness of this question doesn't begin to become clear until I add the fact that this person actually wrote this question on a piece and paper and gave it to me.

The remote log admin tool I hacked out last fall has been broken for the past few days. It wouldn't let me make a post for February.

What a good opportunity for a new survey:
