Josie is six months old, and she has started eating real food. Not that milk isn't "real food". Maybe I should say solid food. Yet, the food we started feeding her is basically rice flour mixed with milk (a rice-milk gruel if you will), so not so solid, but solid-er food. I guess what I should say is that she's been gumming gruel from a spoon as well as sucking milk from a boob, so that's a change.

Besides all the gumming and sucking, she's been growing like a sprout. At her last doctors visit she was 18 lb. and 1 3/4 oz. But she's truly 36 pounds of love in an 18 pound sack. She laughs all the time, and squeals with delight when something pleases here. She's a happy little sprout, and how in the hell that beautiful little bundle of wonderment found her way into this world from my offal ridden genes I'll never know, but I think it is safe to assume that most of Tam's genes are dominant, and we can all be grateful for that (not to mention the good stock of our mail carrier).
